Teachers are now focused solely on teaching

After taking over as Delhi's Education Minister, I called for a convention of all government school teachers and told them, Do everything you can to turn around our children's future and I will ensure you are provided with the best facilities at work. During this session with them I learned about a serious impediment faced by teachers. They were almost always on census or family registry duty, which left them with little time to focus on teaching. They are also deployed in election duty, apart from other government scheme-related duties.

Soon after, I directed the Education Department to ensure that no government school teachers are deployed on census, family register duties, etc. The relevant departments were asked to make alternative arrangements for these works. It is my hope that in times to come, teachers are also relieved of election duty.

Apart from this, due to an acute shortage of ministerial staff, teachers were forced to make bills, vouchers, maintain records and diaries, among other such clerical work. This diverted part of their attention from teaching children. With this in mind, we have given Principals the authority to hire ministerial staff to ease the pressure borne by teachers.

  3. Manish ji. Why can't we have a standard website which gives aam aadmi a consolidated view of Delhi government's work in 4 columns viz. "work to be initiated", "work in progress (WIP)" "work stuck by central govt" and "work completed". People should be allowed to click to view details on all these works, give their feedback and pull back completed tasks to WIP column if work is not completed to their satisfaction (as in this case...computer classes not taking place). This is standard project management practice these days. Also this will allow people to view where most of the work is getting stuck (due to central government's obstruction).

  4. Hon'ble Deputy Chief Minister,

    Shri Manish Sisodhiya Ji,

    Delhi Government,
    New Delhi,

Dear Sir,we would like to bring in your kind notice that DSSSB had published an advertisement for the Post of Computer Science TGT Teacher with Post Code 192/14.

Now,its been more than 30 months since the advertisement was published but DSSSB has not even declare the exam date till now.

All the aspirants are eagerly waiting for the exam date and on the other side DSSSB has not bothered about it at all.

We all know that we don't have Computer Science TGT teachers in more than 1000 government schools in Delhi So a question of concern raised here that how they could manage for Computer Science Teacher.

We know that how the time is changing all around and the importance of Computer Science Teacher is not only relevant to teach the students but also to make them fully groomed and well-versed with the new upcoming technologies in this competitive world. So how this would be possible without a Computer Science Teacher???

We all aspirants have decided to meet you in a group to discuss in detail why DSSSB has taken a long time and even taking continuously without informing to thousands of aspirants.

Kindly give a piece of time to us out of your precious time in order to have a retain of faith in government and the DSSSB officials.

    Sincere Thanks.
