Education begins with understanding the self

If there are 40 children in one class, there would be many qualities that are common to all children. Habits, thought processes, ideas, questions.. and other such things. I have not come across a single book that helps identify what these common qualities are.

Can such a book be written? Can such a curriculum be designed? Can it be taught? Absolutely, yes. Every child can be taught to identify how he or she is similar to any other child. But to recognise these similarities, one must be able to understand oneself. This is why it is important to begin with learning about oneself.
